Step by step

Let's make it

  1. 1

    Pick an animal

Ask your child to choose one animal to make first โ€” owl, cat, bunny, fox, whatever they love.

    Craft Coach tip

One animal is enough to feel successful.

  2. 2

    Color the body

Color or wrap the roll to match the animal.

    Craft Coach tip

Brown, orange, gray, and pink cover a lot of creatures.

  3. 3

    Add ears, wings, or tails

Cut simple shapes from paper and glue them on.

    Craft Coach tip

Folded paper ears add quick dimension.

  4. 4

    Give it a face

Draw eyes and a nose or glue on googly eyes.

    Craft Coach tip

    Tiny whiskers make everything cuter.

  5. 5

    Make a whole family

Repeat with a second animal if your child still has momentum.

    Craft Coach tip

A little lineup looks adorable on a shelf.
